The adult moth of this species are dimorphic. The male has white forewings, each with a black and white spot in the middle. The female has brown forewings, each with a black and white spot in the middle. The hindwings are yellow. The forewing apices are pointed. The wingspan of the female is about 3.5 cms. The male is rather paler and smaller than the female.

The species occurs in Queensland.
