This caterpillar tunnels into the bark of conifers, such as :

  • Cyprus Pine ( Callitris species, CUPRESSACEAE ).

    The adult moth has forewings that are pale brown, each with a dark brown marginal half, and a dotted brown line across the pale area of each forewing. The hindwings are pale brown fading to white at the base. The wingspan is about 1 cm.

    The species has been found in :

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory, and
  • Tasmania.
