These caterpillars have been found feeding on various plants in MYRTACEAE, including:

  • Eucalyptus species, and
  • Syncarpia species.

The adult moth has brown forewings, with a scattering of redder spots with white outlines. There are two large such spots on the inner margin one halfway and one at the base of each forewing. In its natural resting position each of these spots appears to join up with the corresponding spot on the other forewing. The hindwings are plain pale brown with dark veins. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in :

  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • South Australia, and
  • Tasmania.
