These caterpillars are a pest on :

  • Mangosteen ( Garcinia mangostana, CLUSIACEAE ), and
  • Pitanga ( Eugenia species, MYRTACEAE ).

    The adult moths of this species are brown, with an irregular pale spot on each forewing, a white band across each hindwing, and a cream and orange thorax and basal area to each wing.

    The species occurs across south-east Asia, including:

  • Hong Kong,
  • India, and
  • Thailand,
    and in Australia in
  • Queensland.
