The caterpillars of this species are sometimes a pest on:

  • African Mahogany ( Khaya ivorensis, MELIACEAE ),

    and have also been found on:

  • Indonesian Mahogany ( Aglaia wallichii, MELIACEAE ), and
  • Coconut ( Cocos nucifera, ARECACEAE ),

    and in seeds such as

  • Shorea,
  • Rice,
  • Sorghum, and
  • Maize.

    The moth has green wings with rows of blue-outlined spots on each forewing. The hindwings are white. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

    The species is found across south-east Asia and the south Pacific, including :

  • Hong Kong,
  • Indonesia,
  • Malaysia,
  • Thailand,
    as well as
  • Queensland.
