These caterpillars live in cases, made from silk and bits of leaf, which they carry around with them. The caterpillars feed on:

  • Gum Trees ( Eucalyptus species ), and
  • Australian Box ( Lophostemon species ),

    both in MYRTACEAE.

    The adult moths have yellow forewings, each with three dark purplish-brown stripes. The hindwings are brown. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

    The species has been found in

  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • New South Wales, and
  • Queensland.
