The Caterpillars of this species feed on :

  • various species of Gum Trees ( Eucalyptus, MYRTACEAE ).

    The adult forewings are greyish brown, with a dark band across each one. The hindwings are orange. The wingspan is about 7 cms.

    The eggs are pale green and spherical. They are laid amid tail hairs from the mother.


    The species occurs in :

  • Tasmania,
  • Victoria,
  • New South Wales, and
  • Queensland.
