This family has been little studied in Australia. The Caterpillars that are known are leafminers. Many have been found on plants from the family MYRTACEAE . The adult moths are small, with a wingspan up to 1 cm. Some have metallic coloration. Of the estimated 280 or so species known of this family in Australia, the named species are:
