This Caterpillar bores into the leaves of :
Initially their leaf mine is straight and filled with frass, typically in a leaf of a young shoot. Later their mine turns into a blotch with frass around the periphery.
To pupate, they leave their mine, and pupate nearby in a flimsy white cocoon.

This moth is fawn with hairy wings. It has a wingspan of about 8 mm. It has been found in Australia (from Toowoomba to Melbourne) and in New Zealand.
