These caterpillars are thought to feed on the foliage of various species in MYRTACEAE.

The adults are pale brown or grey, with a dark dot near the middle of each forewing. The male moth has a wingspan of about 3 cms. The female moth has a wingspan of about 4 cms.

The species is found over much of mainland Australia, including:

  • New South Wales,
  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland,
  • South Australia,
  • Victoria, and
  • Western Australia.
