The moth is grey with dark bands along the forewing costas. The inner margin of each forewing has a black mark, the veins through which are red. The hindwings are plain off-white. The sexes are quite similar, except in size. The male moths have a wingspan of about 2.5 cms. The female moths have a wingspan of about 3.5 cms.
