The moth is grey with zigzag bands on the forewings. The hindwings are plain off-white, often each with a diffuse darker band or base. The sexes are quite similar, except in size. The male moths have a wingspan of about 4 cms. The female moths have a wingspan of about 5 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • New South Wales,
  • South Australia, and
  • Victoria.
