The adult moths of this species have green wings, with dark zig-zag line across each wing. The thorax and abdomen are green except for a brown dorsal mark midway along the abdomen.

Specimens of this species have been taken in Queensland.

The male genitalia of specimens of this species from Queensland appear to differ from that of specimens of Oenospila flavifusata (Walker, 1861) from the Indomalaya ecoregion, and so it is suggested that the Australian specimens retain their separate name.
