The caterpillars of this species feed on the young shoots and flowers of the Dodder vines:

  • Slender Snotty-Gobble ( Cassytha glabella ), and
  • Downy Dodder Laurel ( Cassytha pubescens ),

    in the plant family LAURACEAE.

    The adult moths are green with purplish-brown markings on the wings, and additional white outlines to some of the brown marks. The moths have a wingspan of about 3 cms.

    The species is found in the southern half of Australia including

  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • South Australia,
  • Tasmania, and in
  • Western Australia.
