The adult moth of this species is light brown with two wavy transverse dark brown lines extending across both wings. The edges of both fore and hind wings are scalloped. The wingspan is about 4 cms.

The eggs are oval and covered in microscopic corrugated ridges. Initially they are pale green, turning reddish as hatching approaches. They are laid in irregular clusters.

The species has been found in

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
