These caterpillars initially are black with white warts along the sides. Later the caterpillars become blotchy brown with cream spots. The caterpillars have been found feeding on a variety of plants, including:

  • Ball Nut ( Calophyllum, CLUSIACEAE ),
  • Pacific Maple ( Campnosperma, ANACARDIACEAE ),
  • Gum Trees ( Eucalyptus, MYRTACEAE ),
  • Hogvine ( Merremia, CONVOLVULACEAE ), and
  • Indian Olive ( Terminalia, COMBRETACEAE ).

    The adult moths are a blotchy brown, with recurved margins to the forewings, and scalloped margins to the hindwings.

    The species is found in

  • Indonesia
    as well as
  • Queensland.
