The early instars of this Caterpillar are off-white with some small dark dots, and a pale brown head.

Later instars are green with some black spots, and have a reddish-brown head.

The last instar is green but nearly covered in black dots.

The adult moths are grey or brown with a complex pattern of light and dark markings, including two incomplete black lines across each hindwing, one across each forewing, and one across the thorax. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
