The adult moths have grey wings with a complex wavy pattern. The wings have scalloped pattern on the margins. The moths normally rest with wings flat with all four wings exposed.

The species occurs in south-east Australia, including:

  • New South Wales,
  • South Australia, and
  • Tasmania.
