These Caterpillars feed on

  • Phyllanthus maderaspatanus ( EUPHORBIACEAE ).

    The adult moths are dark brown usually with two white bars across each forewing, and one across each hindwing. The forewings often each have an ocellus at the tornus. The moths have a wingspan of about 4 cms.

    The species appears as Illustration 5 in Plate CCXXII of Hampson's Noctuidae of the British Museum, 1903-1913.

    The species has been found in

  • New Guinea,
    as well as in Australia in
  • Western Australia,
  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland,
  • Australian Capital Territory, and
  • Victoria.
