These caterpillars are white with a black head, and a pair of black dots on each thoracic segment. They feed on the foliage of :
initially mining the leaves, then later eating holes in the leaves.
The adult moths are pale brown darkening toward the wing apices, with several brown dots on each forewing. There are long dense hairs along each wing inner margin. The abdomen is banded in brown and white.
