The forewings of the adult moth of this species are greyish brown with indistinct pale submarginal bands. The hindwings are yellow, each with a greyishbrown spot near the middle, and a broad greyish brown margin. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

The species is found inland in southern Australia, including:

  • New South Wales, and
  • Victoria.
